From adult programming to services that include free notary, job search help, internet/computer use, adult classes and more, the Long Branch Free Public Library is an up to date, modern library that values traditional service and superior customer service.

*Notary service is provided free of charge, please bring a valid ID and do not sign paperwork to be notarized until you are in the presence of Notary. You may call ahead to ensure Notary will be available.
If witnesses are required, the individual must bring them; the library will not supply any witnesses. Documents will only be notarized if they are written in English. Notary Service is NOT available for Deeds, Wills, Living Wills, Living Trusts, Codicils, Birth Certificates, Death Certificates, Marriage Certificates, Powers of Attorney, an Affidavit or any other similar document, copies of Driver’s Licenses or copies of Passports.
In accordance with NJ Notarial Law, Notaries will not provide service if the customer, document or circumstances of the request for Notary Service raise any issue of authenticity, ambiguity, doubt or uncertainty for the library. In these circumstances, the library Notary may, at his/her sole discretion, decline to provide Notary Service.

Community Assistance @ Main
Meet with a representative from the Veterans' Unit of the NJ Dept. of Labor every second and fourth Thursday of the month from 2 - 4pm. Please call Victor Alvarado at 732-775-1566 or email him at to make an appointment.
Blood Pressure Screenings
1st Monday of every month from 3 - 4pm, provided by the City of Long Branch Health Department and the VNA of NJ.
Elberon Book Club
Elberon Book Club meets the 1st Wednesday of every month, 6:30pm.
"Friends of the LBPL" group meets immediately afterward. Meetings alternate between being held at Main and Elberon. Copies of the current selection can be borrowed from the Circulation Desk at the Main Library and the Elberon Library.
Non-Fiction Book Club
Meets in the Community Meeting Room at the Main Library the second Thursday of each month 1:30pm- 3pm (unless otherwise indicated). Copies of the current selection can be borrowed from the Circulation Desk at the Main Library.
