No wait times! See something you like? Well with Hoopla you are able to check out instantly with instant borrows. Instant titles are always available and allow for simultaneous usage by multiple patrons.
Get up to 10 Items per month! Patrons are able to check out up to 10 items each month. However, Hoopla does offer a Binge Pass option that provides 7 days of unlimited access to content on their partner's platform. By borrowing this hoopla BingePass you can enjoy magazines, Great Courses, Hallmark movies, and children's programming!
Watch international television and movies! Hoopla offers movies and television available for streaming of UK TV, Italian Cinema, BBC , Anime , Hebrew Dramas, Masterpiece Theater, and more!
Create a personalized favorite's list! Create a personalized watchlist of your own collection of movies, books, and more! That you can enjoy at any time. Saving films to your watchlist does not affect your monthly borrowing credits.
Begin by registering for a Library Card
Anyone living, working, or attending school in Long Branch, NJ is eligible to receive a free library card. Get yours by visiting either the Main or Elberon locations or by applying online for a temporary digital card. Not a resident of Long Branch? No problem! You can still register for an LBFPL card for an annual fee of $20.
Getting Started on Your Desktop
Step 1: Begin by visiting our website https://www.longbranchlib.org/and clicking on the tab,"Books & More" located on the top left corner.
Step 2: Once you've clicked on the "Books & More" tab you will see the option to access Kanopy by clicking on the "movies & music" tab.
Step 3: Select the Hoopla icon. The webpage will open in a new tab where you will be brought to the Hoopla homepage.
Step 4: Select the "Get Started" icon.
Step 4: Select " Let's Go" to begin registering an account on Hoopla.
Step 5: A prompt to "Find Your Library" will appear on screen. Long Branch Public Library should appear as the first option however; you can also search by library name, city, or zip code.
Step 6: Add your library card number which is located under the barcode. If you need any assistance with your card, give the circulation department a call at 732-222-3900.
Step 7: Finish registering your Hoopla account by adding your email address and creating a password.
Step 8: You are all set to begin browsing titles and to check out items! The lending period for the item that you wish to borrow will appear at the bottom of the screen.
To view your Hoopla account and current checkouts click the "My Hoopla" tab you are able to view current loans, favorites, and to see your checkout history.
