Get a Library Card

Anyone living, working, or attending school in Long Branch, NJ is eligible to receive a free library card. Get yours by visiting either the Main or Elberon locations or by applying online for a temporary digital card. Not a resident of Long Branch? No problem! You can still register for an LBFPL card for an annual fee of $20.

Once your library account is up to date, you can download the LMxPRESS PLUS app to manage your library account, view both digital and physical holds, renewal requests, current checkouts, and have a digital copy of your library card. Download it here!

Join one of our book clubs! Join our brand new staff book club! Each month will feature a fiction book selected by one of our staff members and the meeting will be held both in person or via Zoom. Not interested in reading fiction? Then join our Non-Fiction Book club! The library also hosts a senior book club at the Long Branch Senior Center.

Browse our databases for your research. Jersey Clicks is an online resource that offers full-text databases that can be accessed by all New Jersey residents but are especially useful for college & k-12 students and small business owners. ​​Reference Solutions: Data Axle provides detailed, current directory information on millions of U.S. and Canadian businesses and consumer data.

Get Homework help. Students can utilize for test prep, help with homework and essays, and even resume help. Use Peterson's Test & Career Prep for college planning to test prep to career guidance, this resource has the tools you need to achieve educational and career success. Points of View Reference Center is a database designed to provide students with a series of essays that present multiple sides of a current issue.

Test Prep. Free practice permit tests are available to all first-time drivers. Learning Express/Learn A Test offers practice tests for the ACT®, SAT®, AP® Tests, and career prep exams for real estate, CDL, nursing, law enforcement, and much more!

Get Career and Tech Help

The library offers support to job seekers including resume help, computer classes, notary services, up-to-date local job listings, public computers, faxing and printing services, career counseling, and small business help.

Peruse business databases. Global Road Warrior access current data on worldwide locations, everything from maps to restaurant information can be accessed. The Small Business Center offers resources for small business owners in all relevant areas from planning, financing and managing a business to exit strategies. Patrons can find tax forms, periodicals, reports, sample business plans, videos and reference books. Our Business Resource Center offers full text for over 1,000 business publications. The collection of titles in Business Source Elite provides information dating back to 1985 as well as over 10,100 Datamonitor company profiles are included.
