Long Branch Free Public Library cardholders get access to over 30,000 free movies through Kanopy, a digital streaming service. Patrons of all ages can enjoy watching films, the learning languages collection as well as the children's story time collection.

You can watch movies on any device! Enjoy Kanopy films on your computer, TV, or mobile device with using the Kanopy App available on iOS, Android, Roku, Apple TV, Chromecast, Samsung TV, and Amazon Fire Tablet.
Enjoy movies anywhere anytime! Patrons receive a monthly allowance of 7 movie credits per month that can be viewed on any device connected to the internet.
Re-watch movie as many times as you want! You'll have 3 days to watch the film with an unlimited number of views.
Kanopy has more than just movies! The library's subscription includes access to Kanopy Kids and Great Courses, a collection of lectures on a variety of topics from humanities and sciences, lifestyle, cooking, finance, and more.
Build your watchlist! Create a personalized watchlist of your own collection of movies to enjoy later. Saving films to your watchlist does not affect your play credits.
Begin by registering for a Library Card
Anyone living, working, or attending school in Long Branch, NJ is eligible to receive a free library card. Get yours by visiting either the Main or Elberon locations or by applying online for a temporary digital card. Not a resident of Long Branch? No problem! You can still register for an LBFPL card for an annual fee of $20.
Get started on a web browser
Step 1: Begin by visiting our website https://www.longbranchlib.org/and clicking on the tab,"Books & More" located on the top left corner.
Step 2: Once you've clicked on the "Books & More" tab you will see the option to access Kanopy by clicking on the "movies & music" tab.
Step 3: After you select the Kanopy tab you will be brought to the homepage.
Step 4: Select the "Add A Library Card" button to begin registering your account.
Step 5: Add your library card number located under the barcode and enter your four digit pin number. If you do not know what your pin number is please give 732-222-3900 ext. 2210 a call and one of our staff members will be happy to assist you.
Step 6: Create your account by entering your name, email address, and password, then select Sign up. Or, sign up with an existing Apple or Google account by selecting Sign Up with Apple or Sign Up with Google and following the instructions. Step 7: Now that your account is registered, you can begin to browse the digital collection.
